Janice Anne Quance, 79, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Lane County
Hospital in Dighton. She was born on December 5, 1942, at Dallas, Texas, the daughter of George Henry & Eunice (Martin) Barber. She married
Chet Quance on August 31, 1963, at Duncanville, Texas.
Janice graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas and went to
work for the First National Bank in Dallas. After her marriage the
couple lived in Houston, Denver and Dighton where she worked at First
National Bank until 1969. They moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where she
worked in a bank and was a travel agent. They moved to Denver where she
worked at Westminster Bank and also started working as a model for
Powers Model Company. She later continued her modeling career while
working at Cherry Creek National Bank. They moved to Parker Highlands
and she became the office manager for the family Photography Studios.
In 1994 they moved back to Dighton. She was a member of Bible
Fellowship Church in Dighton where she was very active in the church
activities including teaching bible classes. She enjoyed sewing, her
cats and dogs, yardwork and anything nature.
She is survived by her Husband- Chet Quance and 2 Sisters- Virginia
Morrison of Plano, Texas and Dorothy Moore of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Monday at Bible Fellowship Church in
Dighton with Rev Darrin Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Dighton
Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at
Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton.
