Jerry Blake, age 63, of Hays, Kansas passed away March 22, 2024 in Hays. He was born in Pinellas County, Florida on October 6, 1960, to William J. Blake and Betty J. Owens.
Throughout his life, Jerry wore many hats, excelling as a Contractor, Cowboy, and Rancher. His love for the outdoors was unparalleled, reflected in his hobbies which included hunting and fishing. Jerry had an artistic side too, finding joy in photography and a profound appreciation for country music. His collection of knives was a testament to his diverse interests.
Among his proudest accomplishments was being a grandfather. Jerry cherished his family above all else and doted on his loved ones.
Jerry is survived by his daughters: Billie Blake of Hays, KS; Heather Blake of Denver, CO; Jennifer Hatman of Erie, PA; and Brandi Hay of Reydon, OK. He is also survived by, Sonny Hightower of Liberal, KS, as well as sister Debbie Jackson. In addition to his siblings, Jerry is survived by 10 adoring grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve Blake, and sisters, Linda Hardey, and Rita Bennett.
A service to honor and celebrate Jerry's life will be held at a later date and will be announced by Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
