Larry K. Owens, 80, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at SunPorch of Dodge City.

He was born August 28, 1941, at Dighton, Kansas, the son of Merritt 
and Viola (Maser) Owens.&nbsp; He was a graduate of Dodge City High School 
and a longtime Dodge City resident.&nbsp; He was a farmer and enjoyed horse 
racing.&nbsp; He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dodge 
City, and the Jockey Club.

Survivors include: 2 sons, Wes and wife Shannon and Bryan and wife 
Cynthia all of Dodge City; 3 grandchildren, Aubrey Owens, New York City,
 New York, Alivia Owens, Grand Blanc, Michigan and Canyon Owens, Dodge 
City; 2 brothers, Don Owens and Gerald Owens and wife Carol all of Dodge
 City; and a sister, Jeanette Gregory, Carlsbad, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Alanna Owens.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 am Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 
Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Jeff Hiers officiating.&nbsp; There 
will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.&nbsp; Friends may sign 
the register Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Prairie in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
