Darla Ann Boyd, 69, of Oakley, died Friday, April 21, 2023, at the
Sheridan County Hospital, in Hoxie, KS. She was born in Leoti, KS, on
August 1, 1953, to James Alvin and Viola (Schwindt) Moore. She attended
school in Leoti and Winona, KS before graduating high school from
Phoenix, AZ. Darla married Eddie Boyd, in Oakley, KS, on July 21, 1973.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Fitzgerald,
Frank Fitzgerald, and Wayne Fitzgerald; sister Marilyn Alley and
grandson Adam Kuhlman.
She is survived by her husband Eddie; daughters, April (Tony) Kuhlman,
of Monument, KS, Amy (Dustin) Klein, of Hays, KS and Amber (Lukas)
Wolak, of Goodland, KS; 13 grandchildren, Andrea, Jamie, Craig, Levi,
Seth and Zach Kuhlman, Abbey, Katherine and Andy Klein, Makayla,
Benjamin, Noah, and Owen Wolak; brother LD (Donna) Fitzgerald and two
sisters-in-law, Hellen Fitzgerald and Janie Fitzgerald.
A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26,
2023, at the Monument Cemetery, Monument, KS.
