Roselin Pfeifer, 76, Hays, died Sunday, August 18, 2024 at her home.

She was born January 11, 1948 in Hays, the daughter of John and Cecilia (Kohl) Jacques. In 1966, she graduated from Ellis High School, and on November 22, 1969, she was united in marriage to Alan Robert Pfeifer in Ellis. They celebrated nearly 55 years of marriage. For over 25 years, Roselin sold home decor for Home Interior. She earned her Associates Degree in occupational therapy from Barton County Community College in 2000, then worked as an occupational therapist at Via Christi Village and the Good Samaritan Society. She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella Circle #254, and volunteered with Catholic Charities and the HaysMed Auxiliary. Roselin was a talented seamstress, and she enjoyed making crafts of all kinds and attending craft fairs. She had a generous heart and continually donated handmade items to charities and the hospital for fundraising events. Whether shopping or treasure hunting at thrift stores, Roselin was always thinking of others and looking for gifts to give to those she loved.

Survivors include her husband Alan of Hays, her sons, Aric Pfeifer and Adam and Mollie Pfeifer, all of Lenexa, her brother, Robert A. Jacques and wife Shirley of Hays, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Pfeifer of Hays, her granddaughter, Raegan Pfeifer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Jacques, Jr., a niece, Lindsey Jacques, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert A. and Caroline Pfeifer, and a sister-in-law, Clare Lou Pfeifer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church with Fr. Damian Richards officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until 9:45 on Thursday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 5:30 pm followed by a vigil service at 6:30 pm, all on Wednesday at the funeral home.
