Myron A. Fabrizius, age 72, of WaKeeney, KS, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. Myron was born in Hays, KS, on September 26, 1950.

He graduated from Trego Community High School in 1968.

Myron served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating his dedication to his country.

After his military service, he married Debra (Coleman) Fabrizius on May 29, 1971, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage together.

Throughout his life, Myron held different occupations, including working at Siebert Sand, on oil rigs, and as a custodian at the courthouse. Eventually, he started his own small engine repair business, specializing in lawn mower repair. His self-taught mechanical skills made him one of the most skilled lawn mower repairmen in the area.

Aside from his work, Myron had various hobbies and interests. He enjoyed competing in stock car races, taking care of his chickens, gardening, and fishing. He was also one of the founding members of the Cart Club of WaKeeney, showcasing his involvement in the community.

Myron is survived by his wife Debra; daughters Brenda Brock (Kurt), WaKeeney, KS, Renae Denning (Bobby), Hays, KS, Liz Schneider, WaKeeney, KS; sons John Fabrizius (Michelle), Levant, KS, Matt Fabrizius, WaKeeney, KS; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; sisters Denice Lackey, Gladstone, MO, Diann Morell, Larned, KS; brother Melvin Fabrizius, WaKeeney, KS. He also had a very close and special friend from childhood, Kent Heckman.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Argus and Adeline, and brother Marvin.

Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney, KS, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, June 23, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., a graveside service with military rights will be held at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery of WaKeeney.
