DIGHTON - Delores Dutoit, 88, died on Monday, September 4, 2023 at her home in Dighton. She was born on July 20, 1935 at Bazine the daughter of Jake and Irene (Steiben) Adolph. She married Don “Buck” Dutoit on January 9, 1955 at Beeler. He died on December 23, 2006.
Delores graduated from Beeler High School.
After her marriage she moved to Dighton. She was a homemaker while raising her children and then worked at Western Auto, Harold Jones, Attorney of Law and finally for Arnold Linden at State Farm Insurance.
She was a member of United Methodist Church where she was very active and headed the funeral dinner committee. She enjoyed cooking for others and socializing with her many friends and also knitting, jigsaw puzzles and collecting cook books and dishes. The JOY Center, Red Hatters and her church were very important parts of her life.
She is survived by her daughter Ruby and Darrell Martin of Dighton, son Kurt and Diana Dutoit of Pratt, five grandchildren-Michelle and Jonathan Elliott of Wichita, Keeli Starks of Hutchinson, Stephanie Ward of Pratt, Wade and Amber Martin of Buhler and Krae and Kinsey Dutoit of Bennington, Nebraska, 15 great-grandchildren, sister Joyce Johnson of Ness City, and sister-in-law LaVone Hoss of Ness City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church with Rev. A. G. Turner officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Boomhower Funeral Home.
