Maria M. Aguilar, 73, died on December 12, 2023 at The Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron, KS. She was born on January 15, 1950.
She loved children and helped take care of numerous nieces and nephews over the years, as well as several other children in the community. She enjoyed plants and flowers and all creatures big and small.
She is survived by her Children - Vicente Aguilar (Anna Gomez) III and Manuel (Amanda) Aguilar; Grandchildren – Mariana, Yasmine, Alethea, Tysiana, Ambrocio, Donovan, Angelina, Imani, and Amerie; Great-Grandchildren – Auden and Idris; Siblings – Amado Martinez, Jesse Martinez Jr., Rick Martinez, David Martinez, Robert Martinez, Bonnie Martinez, George Martinez, and Susana, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents and her sister, Virginia Hebert.
Visitation will take place 12:00-8:00 pm Monday December 18, 2023 at Garnand Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday December 19, 2023 at Word of Life Church with Pastor Rick Beard officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City, KS 67846.
