David Wayne Chestnut was born January 9, 1957, in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He passed away November 9, 2023 at the age of 66.

David was born to Thelma Braun and was blessed to have Leroy Braun as his foster father.

David married his wife Christina July 12, 1984.

Growing up he rode race horses which he was passionate about. Coon hunting was another favorite pastime. He also did a little rodeoing.

Hunting with his dogs was one of his favorite things. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding and his chickens. He preferred to be outdoors as much as possible. He also loved working with his cattle.

He is preceded in death by son, William, mother, Thelma, and foster father, Leroy.

Survivors include his wife Christina, daughter Mandy Goble of Logan, brother Delton Braun of Phillipsburg, sisters Regina Borthwick of Hays, Rhonda Stegmaier of Phillipsburg, Rolanda Capps of Kirwin, Roxie Braun of Phillipsburg, and Becky Davis of Lincoln, NE, two grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of many. His spirit will continue to inspire, his memory will continue to comfort.
