Eyvonne D. Crase, 91, died Monday, June 10, 2024, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born October 12, 1932, in Hillsboro, Kansas, the daughter of David & Eva (Janzen) Krause.
Eyvonne moved with her family to Deerfield, Kansas when she was a child. She attended Deerfield schools where she graduated from Deerfield High School. She then attended and graduated from Garden City Community College in 1952. On November 29, 1953, she married Daniel W. Crase in Deerfield, Kansas. They made their home in Garden City. A homemaker, Eyvonne enjoyed spending her time bowling, coloring, and working puzzles. She was a Charter member of Bible Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters Debra Friend of Wichita, Kansas, Nancy & husband Paul Rodriguez of Wichita, Kansas, and Suzanne & husband Rod Johnson of Garden City; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Eyvonne is preceded in death by her husband Daniel who died on January 17, 2005. She is also preceded in death by her parents; her step-father Glen Morford; a brother Lloyd Krause; and a sister Virginia DeWitt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the Chapel at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City with Pastor Jonathan Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
