Lifelong Phillips County resident, Lee Taylor, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE at the age of 88.
He was born February 1, 1936 in Phillips County, KS the son of Hobart and Geneva (Ragsdale) Taylor. He was a farmer and rancher.
Lee was united in marriage to Mary Lou Elizabeth Hanes on May 16, 1958 in Alma, NE. She preceded him in death in 2009.
Survivors include his sons Tony and wife Jennifer of Phillipsburg, Brian and wife Pam of Phillipsburg, and Clayton and wife Ann of Stockton; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a sister Virginia Lois Miller of Phillipsburg.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Jay Brandon officiating. The services will be streamed live on Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Phillips County, KS.
Mr. Taylor will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with the family receiving friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday evening for visitation.
