Daniel Lee Juarez, 61, died at his home in Garden City, Kansas on February 25, 2024. He was born October 4th, 1962, the son of Ray Sr. and Dora Juarez in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He moved to Garden City in 1982. He met the love of his life Grace Marinez in August 1988, three months later they married on December 10, 1988, in Syracuse, Kansas. She Survives.
Daniel enjoyed collecting classic cars and sports cars. He was a loyal Denver Broncos fan and liked watching Nascar. He enjoyed woodworking and going to concerts, Bronco games. A bit of a musician himself, he liked his music loud and his cars fast. Daniel had an adventurous spirit and lived life that way. Most of all he loved doing life with his best friend and loving wife of 35 years, "Gracie". They have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grand babies. He was proud of them all and loved them dearly.He had previously been employed at Tyson, Monfort, Cash and Carry Lumber. He spent his last 25 years of employment working for Heartland Coca-Cola. First as the warehouse manager and then as an equipment technician.
Survivors include his wife Grace Juarez; Children-Stephanie Marinez, Christopher Marinez and Michael Juarez. Grandchildren-Hailee Near (Aron Sanchez), Alyssa Nava (Alejandro Abundis), Salvador Nava (Anna Martinez), Michael Marinez, Jeremy Lucas Jr. and Daniella Preston: Great grandchildren- Aleena Sanchez, Aron Sanchez Jr., Ashton Nava Alba and Avani Abundis. All from Garden City. Father-Ray Juarez Sr. (Roxanne) Denver, Co. Siblings-Ray Juarez Jr., Cheyenne, Wyoming; John (Christine) Juarez, Robinson, Kansas; Christine (Dennis) Melgosa of Grovetown Ga, Georgia; Virginia Gilman, New Hampshire and Sam Juarez, Denver, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. Last but not least his furry companion, "RJ".
Preceded in death by his mother, Dora Juarez, his sister Debbie Fiorini and two furry friends "Ned" and "Lakota".
Visitation will be held 12:00 – 5:00 pm Wednesday February 28, 2024, at Garnand Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm at St Mary Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 29, 2024, also at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
