Doris Ann Langdon, age 75, passed away on May 24, 2023, at her home in Leoti, Kansas. She was born on April 27, 1948, in Colby, Kansas to Richard Dean and Marita Faye Heaton Mays; just minutes after her twin brother kicked her out first.

She was a member of the community since 1982, having been raised in Atwood and various places around the country. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the community Thrift shop board, and the Quilt Guild. In addition to taking care of her home, she worked in the community in various places.

On November 26, 1982, she married Eugene Frank Langdon at the first Presbyterian church in Leoti, Kansas. They met at a minor league baseball practice. He survives. 

Survivors include her husband, her brothers Rod and Karen Mays of Leoti, Kansas, Pat and Valerie Mays of Foyil, Oklahoma, Roland Mays of Green, Kansas, her sisters Mary Rose Atchley of Branson, Missouri, Barbara June Lovett of Leoti, Kansas, sister-in-law Joyce and Chuck Bohme of Goodland, Kansas, brother-in-law Troy and Brenda Langdon of Osborn, Kansas, sister-in-law Lavetta Langdon of Akron, Nebraska, daughters Sara Pitzer, Sheryl and Greg Martinez of Leoti,  D.J. and Travis Seaton of Leoti, Kansas, sons Edward Langdon of Temple, Texas, Sam and Darcy Langdon of Leoti, Kansas, twenty-one grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren, though she was mom to many more she loved and claimed as her own.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Anita, three brothers, Darryl, John, and Dick, brother-in-law Larry, son Frank, two grandsons Jesse and Greg, and sister-in-law Linda.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Covenant Church in Leoti, Kansas with Pastor Stephen Moorfield presiding. Burial will follow at the Leoti Cemetery.

Visitation will be on May 30, 2023, from 12:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on May 31, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Price and Sons Funeral Home at 4th and J St. in Leoti, Kansas.
