Scharlene Dee Mix, 57, passed away November 13, 2022, at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was born October 16, 1965, in Jetmore, the daughter of Gary and Ruby Klein Rebel. Scharlene lived most of her life in Kansas, but had moved from Alamosa, CO to Jetmore 5 years ago. She was a homemaker and a secretary at the United Methodist Church for a short while and most recently was a secretary for Kindsvater Trucking in Dodge City.
She was a member of FCE and The Piecemakers, both of Jetmore. She loved to quilt, sew, knit, crochet and enjoyed fishing and camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
On September 7, 2013, she married Jimmy Mix in Pagosa Springs, CO. He survives.
Other survivors include: father, Gary (Susan) Rebel, La Crosse; son, Adam (Angie) Lopez, Pueblo, CO; two daughters, Sarah Soffel, Alamosa, CO, Crystal (Nate) Cornum, La Jara, CO; brother, Jeffery Rebel, Colorado; two sisters, Charlotte (VI) Macepuru, Albuquerque, NM, Becky Rebel, Denver, CO; fourteen grandchildren, Zachary, Adrianna, Rebecca, Xaiver, Bailey, Wyatt, Isabella, Quincy, Heavenly, Jonathan, Delton, Vaden, Zayin and Kahlynn.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby and a brother, Gary Rebel.
Funeral will be 10:30 Friday, November 18, 2022, at United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore, with family present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Burial will be in Brown’s Grove Cemetery, Burdett.
