Phillipsburg resident Eugene D. Ross passed away April 25, 2023, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg at the age of 79.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Rooks County, the son of Dewey and Eula (Sammons) Ross.

&nbsp;Survivors include his son Mitch of Stockton; daughter, Shannon Hahn of Overland Park; brother, Everett of Arkansas City; sister, Phyllis Breese of Smith Center; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

&nbsp;Funeral services will be&nbsp;at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 1 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Pastor LeRoy Herder officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.&nbsp;&nbsp;Burial will follow in the Slate Cemetery, Rooks County.

&nbsp;Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with the family receiving friends from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church or the Phillips County Hospital Nursing Department.
