Norbert Charles Gamblin Jr., 69, passed away on April 29, 2023 in Hays, Kansas. He was born on August 19, 1953 in Liberty, Missouri to Norbert Charles and Betty Lou (Walker) Gamblin.

Norbert grew up in the Excelsior Springs, MO area and then moved to Oberlin and graduated from DCHS in 1972.

On November 17, 1990 Norbert married Sharon Diane Parks in Excelsior Springs, MO.

He loved to be outside where he could hunt, fish, and spend time in his garden. The time that he did spend inside he was surely putting model trains and airplanes together or cooking. But most of all he loved to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. They were the world to him.

Norbert is survived by wife Sharon Gamblin of Oberlin, KS; children Jessica (Eric) Wahrman of Oberlin, KS and Tim (Lisa) Broughton of Lawson, MO; sisters Millie (Marvin) Matchett of Norton, KS and Lisa (Mark) Henderson of Kansas City, MO; brother-in-law Tom Martin of Excelsior Springs, MO. He is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Norbert is preceded by his parents and sister, Kathy Martin.
