Mary Etta (Rollins) Hatton, age 63, died on January 30, 2024, at Cedar Village, Ness City. She was born on October 10, 1960, in LaCrosse, Kansas, the daughter of Wilbert “Bill” and Bernice (Bennett) Rollins.
Mary grew up in rural McCracken, attended early school years in Hays, lived in Florida for several years and eventually settled in Ness City, Kansas. Mary held many jobs throughout the years, but her most beloved was as a truck driver for a retail clothing company. She will be remembered for her frank talk and her dry sense of humor. She also loved her animals, especially her cat Sissy.
Mary is survived by four grandchildren, Kelli Hunter, Ness City, Chrissi Hunter, Ness City, Hailey Hunter, Jetmore, and Justis Lees, Dodge City, and three great grandchildren, Hunter Bemis, Matthew Gomez, and Javier Gomez; two sisters Wanda Bankhead, Morriston, Florida and Pam Bankhead, Ocala, Florida; one brother Donnie & Jeannie Harp, Emporia and several aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her only daughter, Marie (Helms) Buller; her longtime companion, Elmer Donner; four brothers Ronnie Harp, Billy Harp, Tony Harp, and Rick Springfield; and two nephews Doyle and Delmas Bankhead.
Memorial services will be on Saturday February 10, 2024, 9:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cedar Village or the Ness City Fire Department.
