John Edwin Grummon, 80, passed away Nov. 21, 2023 at his home in Great Bend, Kan. He was born Apr. 2, 1943 in Omaha, Neb., the son of American Baptist Missionaries Daniel and Elda (Goff) Grummon. 

&nbsp;After graduating in 1965 from Ottawa University, he married DeeAnne Baldwin. &nbsp;

John graduated from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in 1969, then served as a pastor at First Baptist Church, Marysville, Kan. for five years, and at the Beloit-Simpson Baptist Parish for 22 years. &nbsp;In 1996, he began a new career as a hospital and hospice chaplain. &nbsp;John and DeeAnne moved to Great Bend, Kan., where he served as chaplain for CKMC and Golden Belt Home and Hospice until retiring in 2014. &nbsp;John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. &nbsp;
