On July 25th, 2023, God graced our lives with the birth of Richard Joseph Vanover. He was called home to heaven just four short months later, on December 10th, 2023. In his short time here, he managed to capture not only the hearts of his parents, and family, but those that took great care of him at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the NICU. His team of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and others went above and beyond to care for our sweet boy. For his parents, the rest of his family, and close friends that got to meet him, our lives are forever changed by his sweet face. For those who didn’t get the chance, our hearts break for you. Sweet RJ as he was known to many, loved his stuffed cows, sitting up, playing with mommy, daddy and Mimi, being held, FaceTiming his daddy, his Mimi and aunts and uncles and most of all country music. His big brown eyes stole everyone’s heart and his sweet smile could’ve brought you to tears. Our loss is something we will carry forever.

He is survived by his parents, Dalton Vanover and Katherine MacDiarmid, Grandmothers, Mary Roumanos, Keri Vanover, grandfathers, Lee MacDiarmid, Greg Vanover, great grandparents, John Whitney, Karen Smith(Bob), Roger Vanover(Mary), uncles, Jacob Roumanos(Lexie), Joseph MacDiarmid, Caleb Vanover, Kegan Vanover(Heather), Lane Vanover(Shiloh), Clay Vanover(Trystan), and cousins, Blakelyn, Gabe, Gus, Kyland, Koy, Slayten, Sterling, and Steele. Along with many other family and friends.

He follows to heaven great-grandparents Patsy and Robert Roumanos, Sandra and Ivan MacDiarmid, Jani Urban, and Aunt, Abigail MacDiarmid, and his great-Auntie Katherine Roumanos
