Rosie B. Staab, age 88, of Sheridan, Colorado, formerly of Hays, Kansas passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Cherrelyn Assisted Living Center in Littleton, Colorado.
Rosie was born February 2, 1935 in Victoria, Kansas to Fidelis and Philomena (Knoll) Kreutzer.
On June 13, 1953 she married Alfred J. “Al” Staab. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2006.
Rosie was a homemaker and enjoyed word puzzles in her spare time. She was a past member of St. Joseph’s Church in Hays.
She is survived by three sons, Duane (Jolene) Staab of Kersey, Colorado, Alfred (Susan) Staab, Jr. of Westminster, Co., Jeffrey (Michele)Staab of Clovis, California; a daughter, Karen Priefert of Littleton, Colorado; a brother, Francis (Vivian) Kreutzer of Hays; a sister, Melva Marmion of Sarasota, Florida; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday November 12, 2023 5:00 p.m. – 7 :00 p.m. with a combine parish vigil and rosary service at 6:30 p.m., all at Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory-Brock’s Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Catharine, Kansas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
