Michael Francis Diehl, 65, longtime Hays resident, died Monday, July 11, 2022, at Kenwood View Health Center in Salina.

He was born May 29, 1957, in Hays, the 
son of William F. and Bridget (Jacobs) Diehl.&nbsp; He attended the Kansas 
School for the Deaf in Olathe, graduating in 1976.&nbsp; Michael was an avid 
sports fan and always cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Survivors include his two brothers: 
William and Kenneth Diehl, four sisters: Virginia Ekey, Lillian Van 
Loenen, Janice Krannawitter, and Karen Swain, and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his 
parents, a brother: Jacob Diehl, and three sisters: Judy Pohlenz, 
Kristina Schmidt, and Kathleen Diehl.&nbsp;

Private inurnment will be in St. Joseph
 Cemetery.&nbsp; Services are in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 
and condolences and memories of Michael may be shared with the family at
