Rhonda Miller, 60, died Sunday, December 4, 2022, at her home in Garden
City, Kansas. She was born September 10, 1962, in Hays, Kansas, the
daughter of Carroll & Donna (Russell) Knoll.
Rhonda and her family lived in Hays and Salina, before moving to
Garden City in the late 1960s where she attended Garden City schools
and graduated from Garden City High School in 1981. A homemaker, Rhonda
also worked for several years as a secretary. She enjoyed spending her
time fishing, reading her Bible, watching religious shows on TV,
writing in her journal, and playing dice games. Rhonda was very
athletic and excelled in swimming. She also loved to spend her time
with her family and decorating for family events.
On March 16, 1990, she married Tim Miller in Salina, Kansas. He
survives. Other survivors include three children Christina Hernandez of
Garden City, KS, Tiffany & husband Josh Purvis of Bonner Springs,
KS, and Amber Miller of Overland Park, KS; a stepson Brandon Miller of
Syracuse, KS; a sister Jeris & husband Brian Newcomer of Wildwood,
MO; her twin brother Richard & wife Janet Knoll of Woodland Park,
CO; ten grandchildren; and ten nieces and nephews. Rhonda is preceded
in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Rhonda’s life was held at the Seventh Day
Adventist Church in Garden City. Burial will take place at a later date
at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. There will be no
calling hours.
