James Doyle "Jim" Jones, age 82, of Oakley, passed away on August 24,
2022, at Colby Health and Rehab in Colby. Jim was born on May 12, 1940, in Monument to Haskel and Dorothy (Greenwood) Jones, the third of four
children.
Jim married Patty Schwebach on July 20, 1961, in Guyman,
Oklahoma. During much of his life, he did custom harvesting or worked
as a mechanic on anything that needed attention, ie. cars, pickups,
trucks, farm machinery, and a multitude of other things, like "the
handyman" for many jobs or things. Jim and Patty raised their son,
Brent, to work hard and enjoy life, and many of the lessons taught have
been passed on to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskel and Dorothy, and his brother, Max Jones.
Jim
is survived by his wife Patty, his son Brent, 2 granddaughters, 3 great
grandchildren, his brother Jon Jones, and sister Janice Barnett.

Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022, at
the United Christian Church of Oakley with Pastor Bob Kelly
officiating. Visitation: 8:00 a.m. to service time at the church.
