Debbie Ann (Sander) Wallace passed away on June 22, 2022, at the young
age of 52 after her battle with cancer in Hays, Kansas. She was born to
Delbert and Rita (Baxter) Sander on October 22, 1969, in Plainville,
Kansas. She was blessed with three children: Deven, Dylan, and Dayton.
Debbie grew up in Stockton where she graduated with the class of
1988. She then furthered her education at Manhattan Vo Tech and was a
member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She went to work for KDOT as an
engineering recruiter and worked there until her untimely passing. She
was a proud and involved mother to her three children and was always
supporting them in whatever venture they wanted to pursue. Debbie
enjoyed time with her friends, family, her boyfriend Jeff Albert and his
grandkids. She loved adventures with Jeff and her friends; spending
time outside, attending K-State football games or looking for new places
to eat. Debbie spent time at home perfecting her no-bake cookies and
French toast recipes, while watching movies (particularly Hallmark), and
loving on her dogs.
She was a devoted follower of Christ and through the hardest times
she would lean further into her faith with daily devotionals, bible
study, and prayer. Her unwavering faith and will to live for her friends
and family was unmatched. May we take every day as a blessing, learn to
cherish the ties that bind and the time we have with the people we
love.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Delbert and Rita Sander
of Stockton; children, Deven Wallace of Overland Park, Dylan Wallace of
Manhattan and Dayton Wallace of Plainville; brother, Doug Sander (Mikki)
of Olathe and sister, Danette Kerns (Butch) of Plainville.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2 PM
at the United Methodist Church in Plainville. Visitation will be held on
Friday from 5 PM until 8PM at the funeral home with family receiving
