Kelly Ray Nevin, 56, died Monday, February 5, 2024, at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born September 1, 1967, in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Sidney & Joyce (Meier) Nevin.
Kelly has been a lifetime resident of Garden City. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1986. Kelly worked most of his life as a parts salesman for Machine Supply and Peterbilt of Garden City. He was member of ABATE District #10 and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Kelly enjoyed spending his time riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR, and having time with his family especially his grandsons.
Survivors include a daughter Brittani Powers of Garden City; his mother Joyce Nevin of Garden City; a sister Anita Johnson of Garden City; a brother Johnnie Nevin of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandsons Damon Powers and Nolan Powers both of Garden City; and several nieces and nephews Airika Frey, Rebecca Townsley, McKenzie Quintana, Shane Holsted, & Nick Bayer. Kelly is preceded in death by his father.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with James Brungardt officiating.
