Bleau Neal Reitan

June 15, 1957 - November 12, 2023

Bleau Neal Bennett Reitan, 66, died on November 12, 2023 at the Ness County Hospital, Ness City, Kansas.

Bleau is a granddaughter of Marguerite and the daughter of Francis and William Neal. Her mother is French, and her father is Irish, British.  She definitely inherited both of her parents' no filter, stubborn, and temper. Very unique! She had a big brother named Ivan. She was an aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her grandchildren are Myah, Makayla, Marcos, Cassie, Zoe, Gus, Aurora, and Rowan. She is also a survivor of breast cancer but a victim of lung cancer. She lost her mother and her brother at a young age. Both of them have died from cancer. Cancer hasn't been kind to her family, unfortunately.

She was an EMT and a CNA, also a server.

She loved life, her husband, her kiddos, and grandchildren in her own way, and her animals. She loved to rescue unwanted animals and loved to ride horses, motorcycles, and art. She was a free-spirit wildflower hippie; she even adopted many teens with whom she was a second mom to them. Many can tell stories about Bleau. She had her ups and downs just like the rest of us. She loved many and was loved by many as well.

The past four years were extremely rough on her. From being strong well to unable to take care of herself because of breast cancer, she had only a 20% chance to live. She beat the odds, and about two years later, she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.  She never gave up; she was a fighter special with my baby sister and dad's help and love. It was extremely hard on my sister and dad. We cherish all the moments, good and bad, we had with her. All has happened in the past; it made us all stronger.

We love your mom, and you will always be part of us. We miss and love you terribly, but we know you are no longer suffering and in a better place. I know you are with Maremere Boggs, your parents, and your brother and Stacey. Give them our love. We will see you again.

Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ford County Humane Society.
