Jason James “Wally” Walters, 47 passed away at his home in Euless, Texas, on July 19, 2022.
He was born on May 20, 1975, in Hays, Kansas. At an early age, he became
involved in music and playing guitar. In 1998, he relocated to Fort
Worth, TX. to pursue his music career with Ben and Jenny Bunker, Brett
Straight, Jacy McCann, Shawn Normandin with James Herman soon to follow.
Playing venues and concerts all over the map, multiple studio recorded
albums, he made his mark in the music business and countless friends
along the way.
With Kerri and Natalie, his pride and joys,
they established their forever home together in Euless, TX. Along with
his music career, he pursued the home building industry building homes
for countless families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. With desires to
seek perfection, he was an avid music and guitar collector, a master in
the kitchen and BBQ guru.
He was preceded in death by his dad,
Dr. Roy Neil of Hays, KS. He leaves his wife of 13 years, Kerri
Walters; his daughter Natalie Olivia Walters; his mom Elizabeth Neil of
Hays KS; his father Jim Walters of Hays, KS., In-laws Neil and Sue
O’Leary, his sister Jennifer Neil Farmer, her husband Robb Farmer and
their son Sam. Brother John Neil and his wife Shaheen, children, Jacob,
Sara, and Julia and Sisters, Jamie Walters, Jackie Hertel and her
husband Matt Hertel.
Memorial service will be on Saturday, July 23, at 10:00 A.M. at Lucas Funeral Home located at 1321 Precinct
Line Road, Hurst, TX 76053.
The family invites friends and
visitors to continue to celebrate Jason's life at a memorial gathering
from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., following the service. This gathering will
graciously be hosted by Dave and Busters at Glade Parks located at 2525
Rio Grande Blvd, Euless, TX 76039.
