David William Lewis,75, Topeka, Kansas, passed away on May 23, 2022.
David was born December 17, 1946, in Arlington, Virginia, the son of
Albert and Faye Baker Lewis. He was raised in Hays, Kansas, by his half
brother, Ray Hayes and Ray’s wife, Theresa. David graduated from St.
Joseph Military Academy in Hays. He moved to Topeka in 1970. He was a
business owner during most of his working life and was also known as a
commercial real estate developer. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited,
Quail Unlimited and was very active in the Boys and Girls Club.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Koelling (Duke), Janet Lewis
and Mark Lewis (Amy); grandchildren, Gunner, Hunter and Dallas Koelling,
Karli Ludolph (Austin), Tyler Lemon, and Austin and Madison Lewis;
great-grandchildren, Avery Ludolph and Gabriella Lewis; companion of 30
years, Cheryl Logan; and Cheryl’s daughter, Elizabeth Johnson (Andrew).
He was preceded in death by four siblings and four half siblings.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, at Kevin Brennan
Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where
celebration of his life will be at 4 p.m.
