Phillipsburg resident John Mark Jarvis passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE at the age of 62.
John was born May 18, 1960, in Baldwin, Alabama. He served in the Army National Guard.
He was united in marriage to Konnie Hales on May 19, 2007, in Wichita, KS.
Survivors include his parents Wendell and Beverly (Babcock) Jarvis of Phillipsburg; his wife Konnie Jarvis of Phillipsburg; 3 step-sons Christopher Smith and Brian Smith both of Wichita, and Jason Smith and wife Christie of Rose Hill, KS; 2 step-daughters Stacie Washington and husband Darryl of Oklahoma City, OK and Sandra Bogart and husband Fred of Wichita; 2 brothers Stuart Jarvis and wife Donna and Shane Jarvis and fiance' Angie all of Phillipsburg; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022, in the First Christian Church in Phillipsburg, KS with Pastor LeRoy Herder officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial with military honors will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Phillips County.
Mr. Jarvis will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 12:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening for visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church or the Phillipsburg Elementary School.
