Bette J. Tien passed away May 18, 2023 at the Norton County Hospital in Norton at the age of 89. She was born Sept. 7, 1936 in Phillips County, the daughter of Jacob and Bertha (Lokhorst) Van Loenen.
Survivors include her husband Clarence; sons Kelly of Sedalia, CO and Jan of Prairie View; her brother Jim Van Loenen of Madison, WI; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tues., May 23 at 10:00 a.m. in the Luctor Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Shawn Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Luctor Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 9:00 Monday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 7:30.
