Sue DeVoss, 75, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.

She was born May 20, 1947, at Norton, Kansas, the daughter of F. Douglas and Leona (Benton) Ward.  She was a graduate of Norton High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University. She was the Marketing Director for Manor of the Plains during construction and was a Real Estate Assistant working along side of her husband at Coldwell Banker Hancocks for 39 years, retiring in March of 2019.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Dodge City and Chapter DZ of P.E.O.

On March 12, 1971, she married Roger DeVoss at Dodge City.

Survivors include: her husband of 52 years, Roger; 2 sons, Zac DeVoss and wife Shannon, Dodge City and Ben DeVoss and wife Jenny, Denver, Colorado; a brother-in-law, Bob Jedwabny, Keshena, Wisconsin; 5 grandchildren, Carissa DeVoss, Zoe DeVoss, Summer DeVoss, Amelia DeVoss and Elliot DeVoss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Doug Ward and sister, Diane Jedwabny.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 am April 15, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church, Dodge City, with Barney Korbelik officiating.  A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.  Friends may sign the register April 14, 2023 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Prairie or Friendship Feast in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
