November 22, 1965 - June 21, 2023

Loren Andrew Biltoft, age 57, of Hoxie, Kansas, passed away, after a short battle with lung cancer, June 21, 2023, at the Hays Medical Center. He was born in Valentine, Nebraska, November 22, 1965 to Robert Wayne and Carolyn Beth (Keith) Biltoft.

He grew up in Thedford, Nebraska and graduated from Thedford High School in 1984.

After graduating from high school, he entered the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for four years. He received his basic training at the Carswell Air Force Base, Dallas-Fort Worth and was assigned to the Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Loren spent several years working as a ranch hand on a ranch near Elsmere, Nebraska.

In 2005, Loren moved to Hoxie, Kansas to work for his cousins, Sam and Bob Morgan. He also worked as a farm hand and truck driver for Les Sealock and more recently, Broc Kuntz. He loved to tinker with any vehicles and any project he came up with. Loren was very artistic and created some beautiful art projects. He was an excellent welder. He was a lover of fast cars and enjoyed working on them. He did like to go hunting and fishing when he could.

Loren recently married Kathleen (Francis) Biltoft. They had been together for six years and lived in Hoxie. Loren battled lung cancer and wanted more time on earth, but it was not to be. He leaves a hole in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by them.

Loren is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Hoxie, KS; daughters, Amber Biltoft of Valentine, NE; Brandy Biltoft of Litchfield, NE; and Logan Biltoft of Lincoln,NE; stepdaughters, Amber White of Goodland, KS and Kassie (Trent) Gray of Brewster, KS; brothers, Leigh Biltoft of Spokane, Washington and Lynn (Kaylen) Biltoft of Columbus, Nebraska; Aunt Kathryn (Dale) Brown of Gooding, ID; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Carolyn Biltoft.

A Celebration of Life Service is planned for July 15th, 10:30 a.m., at the Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be at a later date.

The family suggests memorials to the Sheridan County Benefit Walk or the Loren A. Biltoft Memorial Fund. Memorials may be sent to the Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, P.O. Box 987, Hoxie, Kansas 67740.
