Rodney J. Hamburg, age 74 of Ellis, KS died Sunday, April 21, 2024 at RedBud Village - Plainville. &nbsp;Rodney was a rancher and lived on his farm in Trego County and was known as a great steward of the land. &nbsp;He was a 1967 graduate of Ellis High School where he lettered in wrestling. &nbsp;He enjoyed hard work and spending time with his friends. 

He is survived by his sister: Opal Flinn of Hays and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were&nbsp;his parents: &nbsp;Fred and Lydia (Shaus) Hamburg; a brother: James Hamburg; and a sister: Kathleen Bouge.

Cremation is under the direction of Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2509 Vine Street Hays, KS 67601.&nbsp; 

A memorial gathering will take place in the afternoon on June 22, 2024 at his homestead.
