&nbsp;Rodney G. Rowland of Smith Center, died on December 8, 2023, at the Smith County Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.

Rodney was born to Henry and Nelda (Malone) Rowland on August 27, 1946, in Falls City, NE.&nbsp; He was one of 11 children.

Rodney retired from Peterson Industries after many years of service.&nbsp; He had a quirky sense of humor.&nbsp; Always ready for a good joke.&nbsp; He took great enjoyment in coming to coffee in the rec hall every morning while living at Western Plains Village.

Survivors include a sister Lois Scott of Arizona, a brother Randy Rowland of Smith Center, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Shirley, Rosie, Becky, Henry, Rick, Rocky, Ardist, and Rita.

Per Rodney’s request there be no visitation or service.&nbsp; Private inurnment will be held at a late date.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
