Raymond Harper, age 67, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on January 5, 1957, in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas to Kenneth & Juanita Heaton Harper. He was a member of the community for the past 20 years. Ray was a member of St. Joseph Church in Tribune, Kansas, Knights of Columbus, ABATE 13, and the Tri-State Motorcycle Coalition.
On August 9, 2003, Raymond married Laurie Baalman in Oakley, Kansas. She survives.
Raymond is survived by his wife, children Laura & Todd Darden of Georgia, Erica Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Derrick & Candice Harper of Carl Junction, Missouri, Annie & Clinton Miller of Miami, Oklahoma, Heather Harper of Liberal, Kansas, sister Phylis & Cecil Combs of Fort Scott, Kansas, and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by His parents, one brother Kenneth Gale, and one granddaughter Elise Scott.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. (MTN) at St. Joseph Church in Tribune, Kansas with Father Bernard Felix presiding.
Interment will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Grinnell, Kansas at 4:00 p.m. (Central time) on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, with Father Bernard Felix presiding.
A Vigil will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Church in Tribune, Kansas with Father Bernard Felix Presiding.
