Jayme began his education at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Herndon, Kansas and later moved to Atwood High School and finished with a diploma at the Beamgard Learning Center.

Throughout his school years, Jayme enjoyed learning new things and being involved in sports. He competed in the Special Olympics basketball tournament in Hays, Kansas and continued to do so even after graduating. He was on several teams that brought home individual medals and trophies.

He attended DSNWK where he learned many life skills, and was able to purchase his home, where he lived for many years independently. His longest job was working at Rawlins County Sanitation on the trash truck. He greeted everyone he saw with “Hi, Buddy” and considered everyone a friend.

Jayme loved spending time traveling with his family and friends. Some of his most talked about adventures included casino trips, camping and fishing with brothers, and attending any sporting activity.

He was a big Atwood Buffalo fan never missing a home game. He loved the Broncos and was fortunate to see them play in Colorado with his Uncle Clem.

He also loved when he was able to travel to see his aunts, uncles, and his cousins. Jayme loved his family very much and was loved deeply by all that knew him. He will be missed very much!

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Jayme is survived by his mother, Janice (Hutfles) Sattler; his five brothers, Randy, Ron (Cindy), Jerry, Dan (Karen), and Rob, and his sister Mary (Brian) Clark as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
