The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Friday reported 22 new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Wednesday.
As of Friday morning, there were 18 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, including nine active cases and nine recovering cases.

The Kansas Hospital Organization reported Wednesday that 54 percent of eligible Ellis County residents (5 and older) are fully vaccinated.
Since reporting began, there have been 7,078 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths.
