NW Kansas teen dies after pickup rolls in a corn field

THOMAS COUNTY —A Kansas teen died in an accident just before 9a.m. Sunday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford F150 driven by Jadin Ray Hall, 16, Colby, was eastbound in the 2700 Block of County Road U or twelve miles northeast of Colby.

The pickup made an unstable movement before the driver tried to overcorrect. The vehicle entered the south ditch, traveled northeast into a cornfield and rolled. 

Hall was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported Baalmann Mortuary. EMS transported a passenger William R. Knowles, 16, Colby, to Citizen's Medical Center.  They were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
