The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Monday reported 32 new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Friday.
As of Monday morning, there were 29 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, including nine active cases and 20 recovering cases.

The Kansas Hospital Organization reported last weekthat 54 percent of eligible Ellis County residents (5 and older) are fully vaccinated. The county-by-county vaccination rate report will no longer be published by KDHE.
Since reporting began, there have been 6,950 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths.
