The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday reported 22 new COVID-19 cases had been identified in Ellis County from June 18 and 24.

Several northwest Kansas counties (see map below) were included among those with high incidence of coronavirus. Ellis County was moved from the high incidence to the substantial incidence category.

Since reporting began, there have been 7,322 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths as of April 1. KDHE has also discontinued county-by-county death totals.
