KDHE: 52 new COVID cases in Ellis Co. since Wednesday

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Friday reported 52 new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Wednesday.

As of Friday morning, there were 31 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, including 10 active cases and 21 recovering cases.

The Kansas Hospital Organization reported that 54 percent of eligible Ellis County residents (5 and older) are fully vaccinated. The county-by-county vaccination rate report will no longer be published by KDHE.

Since reporting began, there have been 6,918 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths.
