The Kansas Department of Transportation began work on a resurfacing project on a portion of K-383 in Decatur County starting the week of July 25.
Project work will involve a mill and overlay on 15 miles of the highway starting at the U.S. 83 junction and ending at the south city limits in Jennings. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car. Delays up to 15 minutes should be anticipated.
KDOT expects the project to be completed by the end of August, weather permitting.
Venture Corp. of Great Bend is the primary contractor for the nearly $3.9 million project.
