Ellis Co. kicked off December with holiday events throughout the weekend.

Hays Community Theatre
The Hays Community Theatre began their series of performances of the original production of Keeping Christmas: A Tradition Christmas Tale by Kathleen Maule Holen.
Along with the previous performances, the group is set to present the show at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9, and at 3 p.m. Dec. 10.

Holiday Dessert Show
Sunday afternoon attendees enjoyed dessert and Christmas music in a Renaissance atmosphere at the Rose Garden Baquet Hall during a fundraiser for Fort Hays State University students traveling to preform with the Smoky Hill Chorale in Salzburg, Austria in June 2023.
Holiday Pops Concert
Saturday the Hays Symphony Orchestra hosted their Holiday Pops concert.
The annual event drew over 500 area resients to FHSU's Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center.
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus has began his annual visits with area children.
Among spottings in Hays, he was seen at Big Creek Crossing.

Winter Art Walk
While not neccesarly holiday themed, the Hays Art's Council's Winter Art Walk is none the less a seasonal favorite.
The anchor exhibition, The 40th Annual Five State Photography Competition and Exhibition will be on display at the Hays Arts Center until Feb. 9.
Fred Ruda’s Teaming up for Tots
The 34th Annual Fred Ruda’s Teaming up for Tots event Saturday created over 150 toy boats to be gieven out for Christmas.
The Pride of Ellis
Over the weekend The Ellis Polar Express took visitors through lighted Christmas displays in the heart of down downtown Ellis.
