KDHE: 39 new COVID cases in Ellis Co. since Monday

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday reported 39 new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Monday.

As of Wednesday morning, there were 25 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, including seven active cases and 18 recovering cases.

The Kansas Hospital Organization reported Wednesday that 54 percent of eligible Ellis County residents (5 and older) are fully vaccinated. The county-by-county vaccination rate report will no longer be published by KDHE.

Since reporting began, there have been 6,989 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths.
