The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday reported 43 new COVID-19 cases had been identified in Ellis County from July 16 to 22.

Nearly the entire state is now in the high-incidence classification (see map below). Rawlins and Ness counties are in the moderate classification, while Rooks in in the substantial-incidence classification.

Since reporting began, there have been 7,440 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths as of April 1. KDHE has also discontinued county-by-county death totals.
