The Union Pacific Railroad crossing on U.S. 83 near Oakley is scheduled to be closed for repairs Nov. 3 and 4.

During the work, U.S. 83 will be closed in both directions at the crossing, which is located just north of the U.S. 40 junction. Local traffic may continue to access the road up to the closure point. Through traffic will be detoured on Interstate 70 and U.S. 40.

Union Pacific and its traffic control subcontractor will oversee the repairs of the crossing and traffic control signing.
