SMITH COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Smith County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Freightliner semi driven by Steven L. White, 61, Forsyth, Missouri, was southbound on U.S. 281 fourteen miles north of U.S. 36. The vehicle traveled off the road, entered the west ditch, and came to rest upright in a field.
EMS transported White and a passenger, Tina J. White, 65, Forsyth, Missouri, to the Smith County hospital.
