As of Wednesday morning, HaysMed reported two COVID inpatients, one active and one recovering.

Last week, the Kansas Hospital Association reported 54 percent of eligible Ellis County residents (5 and older) are considered fully vaccinated — a figure that has remained constant for several weeks.

The Mayo Clinic reported that as of March 13, just more than 65 percent of all eligible Americans and about 61 percent of eligible Kansans are considered fully vaccinated.

Since reporting began, there have been 7,132 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 79 coronavirus-related deaths.
