The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday reported 21 new COVID-19 cases had been identified in Ellis County from Oct. 22 to 28. KDHE reports updated case numbers weekly on Wednesdays.
Ellis County remained in the substantial-incidence category, KDHE reported. (See map below). Several northwest Kansas counties were moved into the high-incidence category.

Since reporting began, there have been 7,924 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County.
