Two Union Pacific Railroad crossings on U.S. 83 and K-25 will temporarily close for repairs this week.

The first closure will occur Aug. 2 and 3 on the crossing located on U.S. 83 near Oakley. Upon completion of those repairs, Union Pacific will close the crossing located on K-25 between U.S. 40 and I-70 Aug. 4 and 5. The Kansas Department of Transportation will close U.S. 83 and K-25 in both directions at the crossings while the repairs are being completed.

Through traffic will be detoured on I-70 and U.S. 40. Union Pacific and their traffic control subcontractor will oversee the crossing repairs and detour signing.
